Round 2 of the 2009 Heavyweight UK Championships was the second qualifier show of the 2009 UK Championships which was held throughout the whole year. It was the second round to determine which robots would earn points for a place in the finals at Wigan at the end of the year. The event was held at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff, Wales on the 11th April 2009.

Terrorhurtz Vs Meggamouse[]
This fight didn't take very long as both robots were off, but Terrorhurtz was more quicker as Meggamouse got chased around the arena. Terrorhurtz then pounded Meggamouse all over knocking off its artificial mouse ears and immobilising it. To end the battle, Major Damage picked up Meggamouse and dumped it into the pit.
Winner: Terrorhurtz
Hortron Vs Leveller 2 Mk 4[]
Both of these robots looked to be very evenly matched. Leveller 2 Mk4 got the first two flips on Hortron, but Hortron self-righted both times. Hortron tried to get round the sides of Leveller 2 Mk4, but the adversory was too quick at turning around and flipped Hortron three times again, only to recover again. Hortron then managed to finally get under the side of Leveller 2 Mk4 and tried to flip it out the arena but couldn't. Leveller 2 Mk4 fought back but again Hortron self-righted every time it got flipped and Leveller 2 Mk4 had somewhat broken down and was immobilised.
Winner: Hortron
Cabrakan Vs Iron-Awe 5[]
As activate was called, both robots were off and Iron-Awe 5 missed its first flip flipping itself over in the process, but self-righted and carried on. Iron-Awe 5 then got another flip on Cabrakan which sent it through the air this time. But it didn't harm the joint team production of Team Die Gracefully Robotics & Team Hell as it could run either way up. Iron-Awe 5 got another few flips on Cabrakan in trying to get it out but either it wasn't close enough to the uncaged wall, or it was at a caged part of the arena. After being continously flipped around the arena for a few more times, Cabrakan tried to lure Iron-Awe 5 into the pit but got too close to Major Damage were luckilly it managed to dodge its hammer blows. Cabrakan tried luring Iron-Awe 5 into the pit again, but instead got flipped twice before accidentally reversing itself into the pit.
